Liverpool winger Adam Hammill - a reported Swansea target - joins Blackpool on loan

The Swans turned to Adam Hammill after Paul Anderson joined Nottingham Forest for the season but interest and speculation was never as high as it was for an Anderson return.

That said there was confirmed interest in the player who spent last season on loan at Southampton although reports from the South Coast were mixed over his performances last season.

The Swans were not alone in interest for the player who was also coveted by other Championship sides as well as a couple of Scottish Premier League teams but Blackpool became his preferred destination.

After signing, Hammill told the club's official website "We've known for the last few weeks that this is the club I was wanting to join.

"There's been a lot of interest, but I met Simon a few weeks back and he come across very pleasant - and we decided this was the best club for me.

"He told me about his plans for the season, his ambitions - and I was in them - that was enough for me.

"I'm just looking to have a successful season here and I can't wait til the season starts and get the ball rolling."

Hammill signed a six month loan deal.
