Lopez Agent: Make Us An Offer
Alex Bonnot, the agent of Spanish midfielder Jordi Lopez, has sent a 'come and get me' plea to new Swans boss Paulo Sousa
Sousa met with former QPR man Lopez last week, and preliminary talks went well between both the club and the player himself.
The 28 year old is keen to re-unite with the manager who brought him from Spain to the UK earlier this year, and is waiting for an offer to be tabled.
As a free agent, he could join up at any time with no compensation due to the R's, as he is over the 24 year old age limit.
Lopez scored once in ten appearances and contributed a number of assists (one against the Swans) during his three month spell in London
"Jordi was put in a difficult position last season, then we had the opportunity for him to be back in the shop window at QPR," Bonnot told the South Wales Evening Post.
"That was through Paulo Sousa. They had a very good relationship even though they were there for only a short period.
"They got on very well and they had a good understanding on the football side. For a manager and a player that's very important.
"When Paulo got the job at Swansea he got in touch with us and said he would like Jordi to come there.
"We were talking to other clubs, but Jordi was always waiting to see what would happen with Paulo.
"Jordi admires Paulo as a manager and Paulo admires Jordi as a player."
