A Case Of The Trots At The Back
Saints have signed a centre back.
Saints have signed Preston North End central defender Neal Trotman on a loan deal till Januarry 3rd 2010, the 22 year old is looking to kick start a career that has promised much but suffered several set backs along the way, including a long spell out through injury.
After making 20 appearances for Oldham Trotman was snapped up by Preston for £500 k but in January 2008 but injury ruled him out for much of the next 12 months and he then joined Colchester for the final month of 2008/09 on loan making 6 appearances.
As he continues his comeback Preston are keen for him to play regular first team football hence his arrival at SMS, standing at 6ft 2 he seems to be just the playeer Saints need with a combination of height and speed, the only down side being his lack of experience, however two out of three aint bad as they say, and hopefully that lack of experience will be compensated by his thirst to play and get his career back on track.
He has already scored in this campaign, heading a goal in Preston's win over local rivals Morecambe in the Carling Cup.
