Pardew Still Too Cautious ?

Is Alan Pardew too cautious ?

In the pre maatch interview with the official site Alan Pardew confirmed that he is happy with the progress made so far, but perhaps worryingly he hinted that he isnt going to play either Jaidi or Papa Waigo from the start.

Whilst highlighting the areas in which we have fallen down in the opening games of the  season, it seems that he hasnt yet come to terms with the fact that with our squad we should be pushing forward and making the other teamss worry about us, not the other way round.

Pardew like many Saints fans was ultimately disapointed that wwe didnt win at Charlton, however those present were a little dismayed that we failed to make the substitutions earlier, as those changes did give us the upper hand but it was too late to capitalise.

"Rahdi Jaidi and Papa Waigo will probably feature aat some point on Saturday and they have both come a long way, Rahdi is perhaps closeer than Papa at the moment and both will feature at some point on Saturday"

Was the quote on the official site from Pardew as he sought to get over the point that he was keen to make the transitions as smooth as possible as they ssettle in to their new surroundings.

Well sorry, both players have been training down here for a few weeks, both are ready for first team action and to be blunt both are needed from the kick off, whilsst i can understand holding back Papa for a run off the bench, Jaidi who has been training at Saints for at least six weeks should be fit enough and his height and strength is needed now.

We are playing one of the worst sides in the division away from home, the time is  here to take the game to them and make them pay, not to be conservative and talk about blending players in.

Sorry Alan but your interview wasnt what the fans wwant to hear, they have been very patient, but now is the time to produce the goods, whilst you have to remain level headed and manage expectations a little, as well as perhaps try to confuse the opposition as to your starting line up, the fans see a strong squad with the right players in to win games, they want to see them played and played now.

Lambert, Trotman and Hammond were thrown straight into the side, Trotman with little match practice, so Jaidi definately and Waigo probably are also ready for the fray, this game has to be won, lets make Yeovil and indeed every other visitor to St Mary's afraid to come here, lets be positive, the only thing that stopped us winniing at Stockport and Chaarlton was ourselves, lets not repeat those mistakes.
