Monk - This Is A Chance To Change Lives
Garry Monk believes that victory next week will change lives in Swansea
The Swansea City captain will lead his side out at Wembley next Monday knowing that victory will propel the Swans into the Premier League and change the city and the lives of those who live in it.
Monk told the Western Mail "This is a chance to change lives,
"Not just the lives of the players and the staff at the club, but to change the city and the lives of our fans.
"It's a massive occasion. People say it's the biggest one-off sporting event anywhere in sport in terms of the financial rewards.
"Everybody's talking about the game — everyone you speak to mentions it and I am sure that will continue right up until it finally kicks off.
"But what is crucial is that we play the game rather than the occasion. And, hopefully, with 40,000 Jacks behind us as well, we will be able to relax and play our football."
