Missing 30,000 Saints Supporters
Why have only around 2,500 single tickets been sold for the visit of Hartlepool.
On Sunday somewhere in the region of 46,000 Saints supporters will be inside Wembley, with at least another 10,000 fans complaining they cant get a ticket, superb support.
But and its a big but, why have we only sold 2,500 tickets for the visit of Hartlepool, add those to the 13,500 season ticket holders and the gate is going to struggle to get past 16,000.
Of course many will mention how they are saving up for Wembley on Sunday etc, but it cant be a cost thing as the club has genourously allowed supporters to buy tickets at £5 a head when purchased either by a season ticket holder or with another ticket.
This is not a moan, I am just intrigued as to why around 30,000 Saints fans will be at Wembley but not at St Mary's for a league game, surely some of those going to Wembley would be willing to part with a fiver on Tuesday night, or even those ten thousand who were willing to go to Wembley but cant get a ticket, why are they not willing to spend a fiver.
Obviously Cortese himself is astounded by the lack of numbers on Tuesday night, hence why he has slashed prices to encourage people to attend, so for those that think its just Nick Illingsworth having a moan about attendances again, perhaps they would be better ranting at Nicola Cortese as to why St Mary's will be only half full, rather than at my good self.
