Nathaniel Clyne Wins First Cap
Saints right back Nathaniel Clyne has been deservedly named in the England starting line up to play Slovenia at Wembley to night
Saints fans travelling to Wembley tonight for the England fixture against Slovenia will be pleased to learn that they will be witnessing the England debut of Nathaniel Clyne.
It comes around a month later than it really should have but it is welcome nevertheless and it makes it another England cap for a Saints player in 2014.
Also in the starting line up is ex Saint Adam Lapland although there is no place for Rickie Lambert.
If England can take all three points against second place Slovenia it will put them in a very strong position in that it will put them 6 points clear of them and although there is still a long way to go, you cannot ask more than to win your first four opening fixtures to give you a good start to the qualifying group.
