Scott Sinclair Tries To Catch Saints Eye

Manchester City's forgotten man Scott Sinclair is desperately trying to attract the attention of potential Club's including Saints and Everton.

Scott Sinclair has been a virtual outcast at Manchester City since his move there in August 2012, back then he looked a bargain at only £6.2 million but he has barely played at all for City managing just 2 starts and 9 off the bench in his first season and none at all since then.

A loan spell at West Brom saw him struggle to get into the Baggies side and 8 appearances for them was as good as it gets.

Now he is looking to get out of City in the January transfer window and he is trying to alert club's previously linked with him as to his availability.

That includes Saints were his younger brother Jake is currently registered although currently out on loan to Hibernian.

Sinclair is a great talent who has not yet fulfilled his potential with only his two seasons at Swansea producing anything like consistent form, that led to the move to Manchester City which has proved to be a disaster, Saints could offer him a lifeline and it could be that it would be a good move for the club as well, Sinclair would be cheap or available on loan and that could be a good chance to assess him, with Mane & Mayuka away at the African Cup Of Nations in January Saints do need cover.

Good players don't just become bad ones overnight, for whatever reason Sinclair has lost his way in the past couple of years, if he has learnt from his mistakes then perhaps he could be worth a look at as Ronald Koeman builds a squad at St Mary's and not just a team and that means having good proven players able to come off the bench as we found out at the last home game against Leicester
