Mane Unused Sub For Senegal
Ronald Koeman and the Saints medical staff will be dismayed to learn that Sadio Mane was on the bench for Senegal today
Mane was selected as a substitute for today's 2-1 win for Senegal over Ghana in the Africa Cup Of Nations, Koeman had stated that mane was likely to be out for 4-6 weeks after picking up a calf injury against Arsenal on New Years Day.
Almost 3 weeks have elapsed since then but Saints will be worried that the Senagalese will rush Mane back before he is ready if they are in trouble in any of their games, today they could keep him on the bench but with further games on Friday and then Tuesday the worry is he could be pushed into action and do further damage to the calf.
On one hand Saints fans will be glad to hear that Mane is at a level where he is able to make the bench, but on the other they will like Koeman be worried that he could do further damage.
