Still Plenty Of Tickets Left For West Ham Game
After nine straight sell out games in the home seating areas, it strangely looks like we wont make it a 10th.
Give that Saints are third in the league and that they are playing West Ham United in a game that could see Saints virtually guarantee themselves eighth place in the league let alone much much better we are still a fair way off a sell out for Wednesday night's game despite the Hammers taking their full allocation.
There are plenty of seats left in the Itchen stand and even more in the Chapel end and although the gate will probably top 30k, it will need a late surge to make it a sell out.
There will be some who would say that with it being a mid week game it makes it difficult for some to get there etc, of course that is true, but i have been to countless sell outs at St Mary's in midweek over the years.
Personally I love to see a full house for a game like this, if we want success and to play in the Champions league etc then we need everyone to get behind the team and that means filling the ground to capacity each and every week.
Of course there is the issue about the price of tickets and i accept that some just cant afford to go, but sine the Arsenal game on New Years Day we have played only one other Premier league game at St Mary's and we dont have another one for a fortnight.
So if you are reading this and humming and harring over whether to go or not then I would say if you want Saints to get into the top four this season get on line and buy a ticket.
