£700 Fine For Swans Player
Swans player James Demetriou has been fined £700 by the FA for breaking rules on football betting
Demetriou who joined the Swans last summer from Nottingham Forest was fined today by the FA following an investigation into a series of bets between December 2013 and January 2015.
The Australian born Cyprus U21 international was also warned about his future conduct after admitting to 13 breaches of the FA's rule E8 on football betting.
A Swans spokesman said when Demetriou was charged "We are aware of the matter and currently monitoring developments.â€
Demetriou has yet to make a first team appearance for the Swans but was part of the Under 21 team that won their Championship last month
