Nordfeldt Will Take Chance

One change that we will make at Hull City tonight will in my view be in goal with Kristoffer Nordfeldt in line for a second Swans start as Garry Monk is almost certain to rest Lukasz Fabianski.

The keeper who was signed in the summer kept a clean sheet in the last round against York and will be looking to do the same against our Championship rivals as we look to progress into Round 4.

And he is keen to make the most of his chance even though he will know that he will drop back to the bench on Saturday when the Swans visit Southampton.

It sums it up for the life of a second choice goalkeeper who can only ever do the best he needs to when called upon as it is only ever likely to be an injury or suspension that will give him a league chance.

But when called upon Nordfeldt is clearly keen to make the most of his chance as he explained to the official website "Personally, I would love to get a chance to show what I can do

"I’ve never been in this position in my career. It’s strange not playing every week, but there is strong competition for places here and that’s why I came here.

"I wanted to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone.

"I came here knowing Lukasz had a great season, so I have to work hard to get minutes and hopefully I can get more minutes in the cup and Premier League.

"Hull have started the season very strongly, so they will go into the game full of confidence

"It would be great for the club to have a good cup run.

"Obviously Swansea won the competition a couple of years ago and that was an amazing day for the club and the supporters.

"It will be tough on Tuesday night, but we want to be in the draw for the next round so we will be up for it. "
