Ramirez Makes Bench For Trip To MK Dons But No Caulker
Saints have put out a strong team to face MK Dons however the big questions will be about one man who has made the bench and one who hasn't.
Saints have Gaston Ramirez on the bench for the game against MK Dons in a surprise move by Ronald Koeman, he is joined by Ryan Bertrand, as expected though Pelle is rested.
But the big question will be why there is no place on the bench for Steven Caulker, there has been no mention of him being injured yet he is not in the squad tonight after missing out on Sunday.
There is a return for Cedric Soares and it will be a slightly different shape for the midfield with no Wanyama and the no other obvious holding players other than Romeu and Steve Davis in the side
Saints team
Southampton: Stekelenburg, Cédric, Fonte (c), van Dijk, Targett, Romeu, S. Davis, Juanmi, Rodriguez, Long, Mané. Substitutes: K. Davis (GK), Yoshida, RamÃrez, Ward-Prowse, Wanyama, Tadić, Bertrand.
