Limited Tickets Left For Chelsea Game
With four days to go Saints have limited numbers of tickets left for the visit of Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
Saints only have around 1,000 tickets left in the home sections for Sunday's visit of Chelsea, a reasonable number given Chelsea's demise in the past couple of years and the fact that it is again a kick off changed for TV.
With Chelsea bringing a full allocation it looks set to be another 30,000 plus crowd at St Mary's which is pleasing to see.
But in this our 4th home game of the season it is the 3rd to see a changed kick off time for TV, with only the opening home fixture against Liverpool remaining 3pm on a Saturday and that pattern will be repeated in the 3 home games following this one with 2 out of 3 changed.
The Leicester game is now another Friday night kick off & Watford changed to 5.30pm on the Saturday leaving only Everton to play at the original time, it must be a Merseyside thing about playing down here.
Add the fact that the 8th home fixture is a midweek game to start with and 6 out of the opening 8 games will not have been played on a Saturday at 3pm with 5 of them televised.
This is an obvious factor in ticket sales being slow at home so far this season, despite 3 out of the first 4 being against so called Big Six clubs.
So Chelsea could yet sell out given previous ticket sale patterns, with a late rush in the last couple of days usually boosting the crowd.
