AFC Totton V Frome Town The Big Game In Southampton Today !

Saints fans with nothing to do this afternoon could do worse than pop along to watch AFC Totton take on their big promotion rivals Frome Town in the FA Trophy, a big crowd is expected for the game for the two top teams in the Southern League Div.1 South.

AFC Totton are looking to go places, after partnering with Southampton FC to play Saints B & Academy games at the Snows Stadium as well as the Southampton Fc Womens team, there has been a professional air about the stadium for the past year or so as they seek to emulate local rivals Eastleigh FC and move up the football pyramid.

They are second in the Southern League Div.1 South table to todays visitors Frome Town, but this is not a league fixture but the 1st round of the FA Trophy and the Stags will be looking not only to knock out Frome and in doing so dent their confidence, but also to progress in the competition and perhaps bring back one of the big National League clubs to the Snows Stadium.

It might be a little too much to ask for them to reach the final as they did in the lower non league cup competition the FA Vase, but they could certainly have a good cup run .

A big crowd is expected and Totton are hoping that Saints supporters with no Premier League football on today might pop along and lend their support for the afternoon.

The game kicks off at 3pm Saturday 13th November and admission is £10 for adults, £6 for concessions (13-17 & over 65) with children
