| A Big Decision Week For For Southampton FC on 14:00 - Oct 27 with 1303 views | Southamptonfan | A good read. I have many times supported the manager in the past, when we were playing teams much better than ours. In the PL, we were vastly inferior to the teams we were playing. We didn't invest properly in the squad, so had some sympathy for the managers. But I've sussed this one. He is very poor, and is not a leader. He has the enthusiasm and drive of a snail. Fancy coming out of retirement Strach or Koeman? But despite the lack of a striker, we have a huge squad capable of getting results. The squad is too big for our young, inexperienced manager to handle. It's all too.much for him. Will Still is as you put it "A rabbit in headlights". The players give a very average, don't break any sweat type of performance. As Nick says.too, there is no leadership on or off the pitch. This won't change because Will Still is far too quiet, calm and inexperienced to motivate these players and turn things around. And we have Azaz, Fellows, Sciensa, Flynn Downes, Armstrong, Charles, need I go on - all excellent championship players. It's a titalky different situation to.last season. Another manager, experienced and decent would.turn this around. The manager swaps them around like the wind, they have no trust and can't build anything together. Azaz and Fellows were good players last season. So much illness? Do me a favour. Making Stephens captain then dropping him? The trust will be non existent. None of them want to be playing under Will Still. He is out of his depth and has to go. [Post edited 27 Oct 14:10]

The thing about mistakes are that they are an opportunity to learn. What you don’t want is the club making the same mistakes over and over. However this is exactly what the club have doing. They haven’t learned from their mistakes and consistently make the same poor decisions. There’s not much we can do about the ownership of the club except to make them feel very uncomfortable and, as a result, want to sell up. So get down to the Ted Bates statute at 2.00 pm on Saturday and raise hell. | | | |
