Well it summed up our season really, as someone else alluded too we have been well and truly sussed
Keep it tight first half let Saints run themselves silly and then punish them second half. Its no secret and its clear we have no way of combatting it.
Interesting that the last two games we won albeit against inferior opposition, we did so at a much slower pace, last night we were at Leeds from the off but couldn't capitalise or convert our chances and thus were made to pay when we ran out of steam
Equally our defensive lapses are still far too regular
Whats clear is we need a MASSIVE overhaul this summer or we are in for a wretched season next year.
Forster has to be number 1 no question and we need a competent number 2
KWP is great but we need at least one left back
In Salisu Vest and Bednarek we have 3 solid CBs but could use another, and what if Vest leaves?
Midfield is ok although Romeu back will be blessing. Armstrong is excellent in there but we miss his attacking flair when eh has to defend so much as well
Out wide we have huge problems as none of them deliver consistently our final ball/cross is generally poor unless its from JWP
Tella looks great which is promising
Up front we could do with one more and if Ings is off then two
As for RH, do we give him the benefit of the doubt as this season has been tough and different. I guess if he gets in who he wants then he will have ten games to prove he has what it takes, plus lets get our signings done early so we have a full pre season instead of being 4 games in still needing additions! |  | | |  |
