HI Brian, I did ane Annapurna circuit way back in 2001, 17 days walking (mostly up, 3 days down and 1 rest day for acclimatisation at 3,600m or so). Unbelievable experience, when I did it basically no coms or smart phones also so you felt really cut off. I didn't do the Everest base camp which I understand is more up and down over Valleys, whilst Annapurna is more of a gradual climb up most of the way. There were basically no heated showers when I went, so the good news is there was never a queue for the shower as the water was just above freezing! Also some amazing white water rafting, you can do 3 or 5 day ones camping on the side of the river at night - again amazing, and there was aparticularly vicious one day one! Lovely people, great food, momos to die for. My list I've also wanted to see Petra in Jordan, and go to Lebanon. One of my best firends is lebanese but I'd love to go for a week there. It's a shame it's so messy there now.and South America for a year when I retire or win the lottery. [Post edited 5 Dec 9:56]

I thought it was a joke when I first saw that, maybe Ronaldo can hand it over to him, though Infantino will probaly shove everyone out of the way to be closer to his new best friend. Can't wait for the speech. |

I must admit he has surprised me. I thought he'd be great at the press and giving us a different option up front with pace, but more of a supporting act to Kone. Really pleased for him, works so hard, and brilliant he is getting these important goals. |

If it doesn't work out for Marti there, I think he'll get another chance somewhere in England but will be on thin ice. Lookiing from outside I think it would be viewed as great first season for us, average second season and left under a cloud. I don't understand what's happening at Leicester at all but I suspect the view from outside would be that they should be doing better than they are due to budget et (rightly or wrongly). I think he'll have to pick / choose / accept his next appointment carefully (if it comes to that). With all that said, table it still really tight, they could win 3 games and be in the playoffs so I'm sure it's really panic stations yet. I'd like to see him do well, but not as well as us! |

If true, very sad to see him go. Like others loved watching him and it;s always good to have ex-players like him around the club. I met him very briefly a month or so ago at the ground. Came across as a really good person to have around, personality that people warm to, positive etc. Seemed very popular in the other interactions I saw. Seems a real shame. I hope he goes on to find somewhere else he does well at. Definitely not a fan of this move, however it's come about. |

I guess you have Morgan - did he come in end of Les or start or Nourry? He is definitely in the can make it, and you might say has already made it to an extent. But yes generally we need to cool anticipation, but it's nice to dream! |
 | Forum Reply | England v Serbia last night £25 Adult, £12.50 Kids tickets at 13:56 14 Nov 2025
I rememebr the Green Man from when I used to work that way for 6 months - you'd think if you were in the Green Man you'd just go - could understand a but more if you were up North for a mifweek game. Good tip, but based on the Jubilee line journey to Baker Street that would sort any boxers weighing issues out, I think I'd have to have the certainty of a ticket before travelling! Going back to your ESTC point, many many moons ago when I did (in a junior role) ticketing for England Members as it was called then, to get round the buying tickets for away games to get points but no intention of going, people had to provide evidence of travel to away games as well as purchasing the tickets - most of it was all paper based. I can't remenber now if the idea for doing this came from England supporters who went to games, or from within, but it made for a lenghty process. |

So I went to watch the England game at Wembley yesterday, first time I've been to an England game since the old Wembley was knocked down I think. My son's been dying to go, so I had a look at the prices, whilst expensive everywhere else (I was only looking last week) family tickets were £25 for adults, and £12.50 for kids, so I took one of his friends as well. £50 all in for 3 of us. Seats were good as well, behind the goal Saka scored in. Kids loved it, got to see Kane, Saka, Eze (great goal!)., Belligham, Stones, Pickford etc For me I got to see these players I'd never really see live which was good - Kane is a great player to watch at a stadium not on TV, his passing range is unbelievable, and to see players like Anderson who might not have shown up much in the highlights but I thought looked really good. Anyway, next international break, if you have kids, a good option if prices are like this again. [Post edited 14 Nov 13:57]

 | Forum Thread | Teams we've never won away at / times you have seen first wins at 13:29 12 Nov 2025
When I started going to matches in the mid 80s, at that time we had never won at Anfield and quite a few other grounds, maybe Forest as well. A lot of teams have of course now moved to new stadiums, but I wondered either which grounds or teams we have never won at away at now? Who we are playing has changed quite a bit since those days as well of course. On a more positive note which games have you been to see us win somewhere for the first time in our history? Thanks everyone - sounds like a very positive debut. Just one game as has been mentioned in this thread but a good start. |
 | Forum Reply | Expectations for the rest of the season at 22:57 9 Nov 2025
I think we will finish around 10th. I'm feeling confident we will finish higher than last year. Our squad is better than last year, and we hopefullly have a good manager, but both players, the team and manager are learning and I think we will improve second half of the season. I also think we will make a signing or two in Jan which will help. I'm definitely glass half full. |
 | Forum Thread | Hamer - how was his debut? at 08:31 9 Nov 2025
I've only seen the short highlights, where he looked good. How was he generally in the match, distribution with feet, coming for crosses - shot stopping looked good? Have we potentially found a really decent keeper as sometimes happens to players when others get injured etc? |
 | Forum Reply | Hamer Post Match - didn't know new rule at 08:29 9 Nov 2025
I suspect our coaches went through rules changes for this season with the entire squad before the season started, which would have included the change for the 8 second rule. Hamer signed for us after the season started, so he has probably not had that session with us. From a coaching perspective I think it's fair to assume he would know this, it's not some hidden away rule, especially for keepers, and it's happened the game before when he was sub.... That said, by all accounts he had a good game and debut tomorrow, so hopefully that will bcome the main focus. I think we'll all take a good performance on the pitch with a 'mistake' in the post match interview vs the other way round. |
 | Forum Reply | Our fans today were pathetic at 19:39 1 Nov 2025
I stayed til the end but don't blame anyone for leaving early. That second half was dire, and I doubt anyone felt there was any chance of a comeback, or much excitement for us. |
 | Forum Reply | Ipswich Reflection at 19:31 1 Nov 2025
We gave away a lot of needless freekicks today all over the park, that let them get out easily and have a break. The freekick at the start of the 2nd half was unbelievably frustrating and ciompletely needless. Their press was much better than ours second half especially. Esquerdinha thrown in for a tough game against a good winger - a real struggle for him - he's full of commitment but on that performance nowhere near ready for this level. Hopefully he has a great game next time out - he felt full of energy but actually needed to be calmer. A really deflating afternoon, nearly everyone off theior game, players, manager and team. Hopefully some redemption against Southamton on Wednesday, and a different starting lineup. |

I think that's the one positive - it will be years of pain but then they can come back - if he stayed nothing good was coming from it. Not sure what happens with the ground though as I think he owns it -and he seems spiteful, so that could get messy. I guess the other thing that is often forgotten is all the small businesses owed money that now won't get paid (or hardly) that may go bust or have serious financial problems, and the poor staff of course. |

Be interesting to see the lineup - assume Saito and Burrell will start, probably Mbengue as well. I hope to anyway, and would definitely feel better if they do. And will Chair or Poku make the bench? You'd think probably not as they have harly played in ages but could be interesting if they do. |
