Haven't looked the stats but seems like we've shipped 2 or more goals in the first half a number of times this season. Regardless of results in other games that's concerning |

I don't think the BBC has changed that much. It was always Liberal rather than left leaning and middle class to its core. It's tried to dumb down and worked itself into knots trying to be impartial. I don't think the news or politics coverage matters matters anymore - most get info online and that tends to be at the extreme end of the spectrum. I do love the BBC though, the same way I love ageing relatives. I can't stand Netflix, the home page makes me feel ill, but I know I'm in the minority. [Post edited 12 Nov 19:24]

We paid a decent wedge for Saito and should doing everything to get him firing again, including bringing him on against tired legs. Hard to fathom. |

Yeah I guess so, but ultimately some players just see it as a job and aren't that emotionally invested in the same way we are. |

You would think professional pride comes into play. But if your bosses have made it clear they don't rate you but then want you to cover, can't blame him if he's not as his best. |

Seems like you're enjoying wielding some power of your own dictating what others can and can't post, Obviously no room for nuanced debate. |

You're deliberately misrepresenting what I've said so I won't respond further,. |

Don't want to stress Clive by getting into individual allegations. But in VG"s case their family are jumping on the bandwagon but some of them were allegedly responsible for the abuse and sexualisation that led her down that path. Rank hypocrisy in my view |

Not at all. But my point is they would have been sex workers whether or not employed by E and GM |
 | Forum Reply | Love watching... at 18:39 21 Oct 2025
Rich powerful men use young sex workers shocker. VG was allegedly a sex worker before being employed in that 'circle' so they are the symptom not the cause of VG's problems, Not saying they didn't take advantage but if they hadn't employed her she would still have been a sex worker probably on less money. |

I was talking about the older locals, who still hanker for being in Surrey before the boundary changes in the 60s. I must admit it was easier to get into central london when I lived in Sevenoaks so I have some sympathy. |

Didn't Norf have to move south and survived to the tell the tale 😊. Carshalton locals get funny about calling it south london - north surrey don't you know. No tube or trams (yet) so may be they're right, lol. |

I live in the area. Pubs as others have mentioned. Not sure about pool tables - the Mrs who's a native didn't know what bar billards is! Purley way retail via the Beddington Asda shortcut is only 15 mins away has pool tables, bowling and tv - not sure about championship. Carshalton has ecology centre by ponds and Honeywood museum - community events / cream teas if that's your thing. Charles Cryer theatre in high street has a nice restuarant and plays, tribute acts, jazz & community events etc. Oaks park with cafe and also public golf course and lots of garden centres 5 minutes up the road. If you're up towards the circle / st helier it can get a bit lively but not too bad. Wallington up the road has a farmers' market one a month with jazz bands playing etc Sutton high street has new community hub / shared working space building and a independent / arthouse cinema that has comedy nights etc |

Annie Hall was her best performance for me. One of the greats. Woody Allen must get credit for the writing and there’s great chemistry between them . [Post edited 12 Oct 19:48]

Think it's going to be a more enjoyable ride with JS. More wins but reckon there'll be a few more to tonkings. If we continue with the more direct style with strikers we've got may be top10. It's pretty shameful we haven't troubled the play offs even once in 10 years |
 | Forum Reply | Saito goal at 15:32 30 Aug 2025
He definitely wised up last season and wasn't knocked off the ball as, easily, That said there'll still be games where he's kicked off the pitch and championship refs will let it happen sadly. |

Thing I don't get is why a coach of his calibre with a decent record would agree to be a bibs and cones guy, |

It's completely fine to prioritize the league in our current situation. But that was effectively throwing a game way for the lack of a few senior players in the subs bench. Surely players like Celar would benefit from 45 mins to build fitness and confidence? Then you are in round 2 and another chance to blood the youngsters. Whatever the plan is it feels way too risky . |

Enjoyed the report. Re Saito I know it's not an area we need to strengthen but he looked like he loved being here and played with such joy and verve. Early on I thought he was too lightweight but he did toughen up later in the season . |
