 | Forum Reply | Will Still sacked at 19:34 2 Nov 2025
So what. This on its own isn’t going to solve our problems. We have to see a statement from SR inviting expressions of interest for, as a minimum SRs shares in Southampton Football Club, and preferably for the whole of issued share capital of the Club ( because Kats minority shareholding doesn’t do the Club any good). SR - Sack the Board and sell up. |
 | Forum Thread | Told you so at 18:48 2 Nov 2025
I hate to say it but I told you so. This is from a post of mine on 16 September 2023: “ Brighton are well run from the very top. It doesn't matter who manages the team - they succeed, no matter what. The culture is just right from top to bottom. Bloom loves his club and ensures it succeeds. Man United with the Glaziers. It doesn't matter who is manager, be it Champions League winners, Premier League winning managers, they just can't get it together. Ten Hag is one of the most successful managers in the world. So why isn't it working there? It's the owners, the messages, the direction. Everton - again they just can't get it right, even appointing top managers on the recent past like Koeman, Dyche etc. There are many other examples. Saints just can't get it right can they. We got rid of various directors like Semmens and now have Jason Wilcox who is highly recommended. Yet, nothing changes. The ownership, the ambition, the direction, the plans just arn't right. Until we replace these naive owners with stupid ideas,.with one sinister intention to make money for themselves (and the players know it) nothing will change. Selling £180 million pounds worth of talent to bring in a few non committed loan players? The fans will realise who the ultimate problem are at this club soon, I hope. I was highly unimpressed with RM's comments last night. But let's remember JW is his boss and tells him he has to play a possession game, encourages it and expects it and the owners appointed the two of them because that's what they whey want too. The owners have totally destroyed this club. Contrast this with what happened when Marcus (RIP) took control of our club. It was success all the way back to the top.” |

Still is the wrong target for our anger. Replacing him would barely be a sticking plaster. It’s SR that have got to go. It’s them that have presided over the staggering decline of Southampton football club. It’s them that appointed a string of crap managers and it’s them that are responsible for the woeful squad of inadequates that try to pass off as professional footballers but just aren’t. SR aren’t welcome in Southampton any longer. They need to get out of the City …. NOW! |
 | Forum Reply | If Saints Fans Protest Then Make It Positive And Make It Peaceful at 10:09 31 Oct 2025
Just to reiterate, the protest is about the very poor (disastrous!)management of the club by SR. We’ve gone significantly backwards during their ownership. We need to make it as uncomfortable as possible for them such as they say ‘F*uck this, we’re not wanted here let’s sell up’. Come on you Saints! |
 | Forum Reply | A Big Decision Week For For Southampton FC at 14:20 27 Oct 2025
My only quibble with this is where you say “ I don't care about how many managers we have had in the last 3 years, how many mistakes have been made, they cannot be changed now”. The thing about mistakes are that they are an opportunity to learn. What you don’t want is the club making the same mistakes over and over. However this is exactly what the club have doing. They haven’t learned from their mistakes and consistently make the same poor decisions. There’s not much we can do about the ownership of the club except to make them feel very uncomfortable and, as a result, want to sell up. So get down to the Ted Bates statute at 2.00 pm on Saturday and raise hell. |

Clowns to the left of us, jokers to right. Here we are, stuck in the middle of this complete and utter sh*ite with you. Fu*ck! It surely can’t get much worse can it? Or can it? |

It was my first time in the Chapel (block 20) and thought the singing wasn’t great but wasn’t bad either. I think it could develop into the old Itchen North. I’m going to go there for the Swansea match which is next one I’m over from Jersey for. |
 | Forum Reply | South Coast Derby – Who brings the passion? at 10:41 6 Sep 2025
It’s the fans who should bring the passion! Our lot can be loud and passionate at times but overall our fans tend to sit on their hands a lot. We know the skates will be up for it but will all sides of St Mary’s be really really up for it. They f*ucking well should be. For a start the whole ground should be stood up and then contribute to the atmosphere like they’ve never contributed before. Come on you Saints fans, get off your arses and shout and sing. Also, those near the touchline should be giving dogs abuse to any skate player that comes near. |
 | Forum Reply | OK I’m going to say it…… at 12:31 3 Sep 2025
Three things shall I tell you about the skates. 1. They are c*unts. 2. They are c*unts. 3. They are c*unts. Losing is not an option. |

No. The problem is the hypocrisy of Liverpool fans on the one hand bellyaching about the establishment seemingly ignoring poverty in Liverpool but on the other, are perfectly happy for their club to spend hundreds of millions of pounds on fancy pants players who drive around in supercars. You couldn’t possibly get more hypocritical. |

What rank hypocrisy booing the national anthem because it represents the establishment which is out of touch with real people in poverty. This from a club that it is quite happy to spend hundreds of millions of pounds on overpriced show ponies that could be spent alleviating poverty in the city. W*ankers |

I’m pretty sure I’ve got the required historical purchase to get a Pompey ticket but I need to check. Where can I find my purchase history? I’m a 2025/26 member. [Post edited 30 Jul 10:10]

Glastonbury is a bit like the Prem in some ways. It used to be harder edged, you could do virtually do what you liked and everyone was equal. Nowadays it’s tightly controlled and it’s become a corporate love in e.g. there’s that fenced off bit in front of the stage for corporates. A bit like the ‘soccer fan experience’ or ‘customer experience’ the Prem wants to promote. My first Glastonbury was 1980 I think so you can see where I’m coming from. New Order and Aswad were good. Gong were absolute sh*te. |

Charlie Xcx. I actually quite like her music but: 1. There’s no band. Which means she’s singing to backing tracks. That’s not live music. 2. What the fu*ck does she think she looks like. PVC pants and top doesn’t work. If your music is good enough you don’t need to take your kit off. Anyway, carry on. |

Going to have to disagree with you here. Fans that give there all over 90 minutes shouting and screaming the team on and trying to intimidate the opposing fans and teams are better supporters than premier league customers who sit in silence with their bobble hats and overly wide scarves. Fact. |
 | Forum Reply | Our Fans at 20:37 22 Feb 2025
Fans get the club they deserve. Our fans are largely (60%’ish?) middle class, mediocre, passive consumers of premier league football. As such we get passive, mediocre ownership and a passive mediocre team. It’s like the customers (fans) aren’t fussed about our performances and therefore neither is the club (otherwise you’d see a radical reaction to our hopeless season). If the fans stormed the barricades the owners might sit up and take notice but the apathetic nature of our fans means that the club don’t have to. They get away with mediocrity. No one is held to account. We get the club we deserve. |
