I agree, defenders can pass fine it’s the midfield that just don’t move enough and make space to accept a pass. This means the back three end up knocking the ball around between them, absorbing the press and trying to make space for the midfielders. The likes of Jander has the skill to turn and go but FD usually just passes backwards again to compound the problem leading to error and being caught by the other team to score. Watch Leo realise this and come back himself to bring the ball upfield. Fellows too brings the ball up cutting through into the center himself negating our middlemen. A tall front man could help with this to mix up the play and laying on Armstrong or Archer.
