The main trigger for me is atmospheric change - cold to hot or hot to cold , damp etc. I was plagued with almost annual bouts of pneumonia as a result. I decided to pay to see a chest specialist who upped my asthma meds which sorted it out and now it is very well controlled. He told me GPs always under-prescribe asthma meds so my advice is try and see a specialist if you can.
Sat at home recuperating from major surgery. When the goal went in i shouted so loudly that i thought i had burst my stitches. i was in hospital on Morphine during the Plymouth game and it was like an apocalypse now style bad trip. Honestly this club.
Looking forward to being there cancer free at the start of next season,
Well...... thankyou to everyone for the good wishes and support and dare I say it love that you have shown to me and others. Also (although I still disagree with you) apologies to Sheffield for telling you to FK off.
Life experience can make you or break you a little and there is not much point in pontificating about kindness if you cannot always try to show it yourself. Thank you to those who have shared lots of private things above- good and bad experiences.
My work is very pressured and so far they have been very supportive - along the lines of whatever you need to do - do it.
To lighten the tone a little word on my diagnosis. I went for a colonoscopy as I had been passing some blood. When I saw the specialist least Friday he asked me why I had got the check and I explained. He said 'oh that's just haemorrhoid's the tumour doesn't bleed.'
So all those years sitting on my arse have finally paid off and saved my bacon.
Well i was diagnosed with bowel cancer on Friday last - luckily caught early and with excellent prognosis but i have to say i read your post and thought - oh do fk off. Man talks about difficult life experience and you denigrate it on the basis of the amount of money he has. Take a rest.
The lovely lovely part of this is that the way he treated us left him so damaged with any self respecting fan base that he was never going to be welcomed anywhere again. Strongly suspect the chat from players after his shenanigans made it the same with any dressing room he went into.
Can’t say it’s been enjoyable- will still need some good fortune to hang on and if that happened it would be more a feeling of relief rather than savour.
Chelsea palace millwall and Brentford starting to slowly circle the drain does provide some light relief though.
