Celebrity thickos should not comment on things they do not understand..

It's not a lie that if I stand 6cm away from someone I'm more likely to pass a virus on to them than if I'm 6 foot away.

Or haven't you done research in to that yet?

Well it was an EU policy that Labour apologised for implementing, it was a daft idea.

When the Torys were elected net migration was about 250,000 in 2022 it was 750,000 alll while austerity cut in to public services.

That's not what that Fauci says though is it?

Surely as an advisor to Trump at the time though, if Fauci made it up the fault with implementation lies with Trump?

Because it was also clearlry in Plaid Cymru's manifesto which about 225000 people voted for (Plaid and Welsh Labour are basically the same).

Anyone who voted for either party, or who didn't vote against them, either supported the 20mph speed limit, didn't care about it or took so little interest in the second most important election we can take part in Wales that they couldn't be bothered to participate.

That last point makes somebody pretty stupid in my book - especially if they then moan about the state of the country.

If everyone voted the parties would have to appeal to everyone and not just their hardcore support. Our politicians, partiesa nd government's would be compeltely different.

Yes it's not just about net immigration which is clearly running at unsustainable proportions.

It's absolutely about UK citizens who won't work but also about services and infrastructure.

Our NHS is too small for the number of people lving here - that's not migrants fault, We don't have enough housing for people living here - that's not migrants fault. The list goes on across all services.

The deflection to blame migrants comes from the right and right wing media. The actual blame lies with 14 years of Tory government.

Farage will do well and bring an undeserved focus back on immigrants but the ultimate benficiaries will be Labour. Let's not forget a previous chair of UKIP called him a dimwitted racist - but he's a popular politician.

Bafrayung have a history of funding radical left initiatives. I don't think they are Jewish but have roots to Jewish families.

I think some have been decent, or at the very least well intentioned and try their best. Mainly those with previous careers and experience.

The worst are career politicians. They are dreadful.

Back when I was a student I used to work at election counts, some of the young party activists who attend as observers (and go on to become politicians) are just very odd.

Broad life experience should be essential to becoming elected, but that's up to those who vote.

I think people who didn't ( and don't) vote are stupid, and have no right to moan. I'd say the stupidest of all though are the died in the wool party loyalists.

Near enough 700,0000 people voted for a party with 20mph speed limits in their manifesto. But over a million people didn't vote at all. That's about 70% of the adult population of Wales -its our collective fault.

Welsh Labour are clearly a mess, but they're a mess with no opposition at present. I can only hope that an incoming Westminster Labour government have more influence over them and they improve (by ditching Gething).

Hopefully then we have a decent opposition, not some sort of extreme faction of deceitful nutcases. Our current crop of politicians make those of 25 years ago look like benevolent geniuses.

Absolutely.

I have two family friends who lost loved ones to this disease, one father and one daughter.

It's horrendous in every way imaginable.

One mercifully died relatively quickly and peacefully, the other took a trip to dignitas and I understand why.

MND is my charity of choice, Rob Barrow, Sinfeld and Doddie Weir have done wonders in raising the profile of it.

How these people have not won sports personality of the year recently is beyond me.

So far your "research" does a very good job of proving the title of this thread to be correct.

Most of the time they don't even think about it.

A vote in a general election is the most significant contribution we can make as an adult to life in this country. Everyone should do it and think about what they're voting for. Most people don't.

I'm sure you've seen people on here defending the Tory party despite the absolute cluster f**k they've made of the country, similar to people voting for Tony Blair and then Jeremy Corbyn.

The best one is the 20mph speed limit in Wales. Clearly in Labour manifesto, we re-elected them and then moaned about it.

People are stupid.

Because they only have to appeal to the minority of people who will vote the same way in every election. Anyone can stand for election but nobody will vote for them.

Elections in the UK and USA are decided on a handful of votes, and when at least 40% of people who could vote don't bother to do so the political parties are safe because they can bank on their hardcore support.

We need to have a big change to the entire political/electoral system.

My vote in Swansea east/neath constituency is usually wasted because labour will win in a landslide. I want the Tories to be destroyed in this election so it's not so much of a problem, but in a tighter battle it would be.

The government will be decided by a few thousand people in places like Leigh and Carmarthenshire West over the wishes of millions.

But, unfortunately, completely unworkable in the real world.

A hard left Labour party gives you a Tory government. The Corbynistas are as much to blame for the current mess the country is in as Boris and his mates are. They gave them free reign.

Bring on PM Starmer.
