Agree with you, invading the pitch after a play-off semi final win lacked class and looked small time. The job is only half done, no wonder the players looked bemused. All clubs have their low IQ merchants, you can tell that we have just by reading the dribble of some who post on here.
As for stewards not doing much, you could have had a thousand ringing the whole pitch, but if fans wanted to get on, they still would,.
You would have thought SFC may have made an announcement over the blower or put something on the big screen on 90min (as the game won at 3-0 going in to injury time) to tell the fans to stay in the stands and the players can give the crowd a brief thanks to the fans for their brilliant support on the night. Not a lap of honour thanks, jobs not done quite yet.
Leeds are strong on their day, but pants other days.
We battered them at SMS and should have won by more, and were really comfortable at Elland Road a few weeks back. If you don't let them have possession of the ball they can't perform like tonight against a useless Norwich side gifting goals and playing without a goalkeeper.
Credit to the Leeds fans for staying in the stands at the end without the need for an embarrassing pitch invasion, as they've won nothing yet.
Agree, both are factual, goal line tech must be kept for sure.
Penalties, sending offs are subjective, opinions, leave to the Ref, he may get some wrong but so do VAR who can still take an age and get it wrong. (Gordon penalty for Newcastle yesterday was even missed completely by VAR, you can understand the Ref missing it).
The handball law for a penalty should be changed to just deliberate handball, like the old days, instead of giving poncey pens where the punishment doesn't fit the crime. Think most people must understand what deliberate is.
You're probably right, they can afford the best lawyers, Everton and Forest can't afford such luxuries and get point deductions immediately. Lets hope they throw the book at them, what's the chances of someone being up before the beak facing 100 od charges and being innocent of them all?
What makes me laugh about the Abu Dhabi boys is they could win the Premier League and Champions League for the next 10 years on the spin and they'd still never ever be the biggest club in their own City.
Was it just the Pompey women's section just showing their affection for the Baggies?
‘Let them score’ and ‘play up Baggies’ rang out from the away end, as West Brom stuttered in edgy fashion. Spurs fans may have wanted to lose, but weren't that embarrassing
'More surprisingly was the fact that almost 400 fans were missing from your biggest game of the season, and for 27 years. Shocking really.'
32,066, maybe segregation?, happens at most grounds.
May still end in tears for Man City facing 100 odd+ charges (hopefully), now no one can spend any decent money to even compete anymore due to ffp, it could get even more boring.
Fans from round here claiming to be fans of these bigger clubs who never go are irrelevant timewasters, often heard talking absolute pony on radio phone in's.
Been listing to stacks of Tottenham fans on the radio hoping they lose tonight to Man City as by winning/drawing they'll probably gift Arsenal PL.
I agree with them.
If Saints had a game, where if we won or drew, it would make Pompey win Premier League (bit far fetched I know), I'd hope we throw the game like the majority of Spurs fans do tonight.
We haven't got any fans daft enough who would want us to win the game have we ?
I vaguely remember Russ saying in the Daily Echo he had more chance of winning the EuroMillions jackpot 2 weeks on the spin and seeing the Loch Ness Monster swimming down the Solent, than finding Tall Pauls strengths. If anyone could give us a clue what they are?, that would be well handy, please tell.
Twenty Million pounds , and not a snowballs chance of getting a penny back.
Got more than 13 so ok for tomorrow, not that I've been to that many, favours for friends.
UTS said on another thread said WBA were charging us £41.50, wouldn't have thought that possible as their dearest ticket is £28 according to their website. Don't think they can get away with that caper, can they
Why?, you're the one giving it the biggin for winning Div3, from the sparse crowd attending it looks like the other 203,000 population of the City didn't give a monkeys, did they?
Hardly any Newcastle fan alive would remember them last winning a domestic trophy (they wouldn't brag about winning the Second Div, unlike some), Spurs have won only 2 League cups in 34 years they're bigger clubs, yous brought the FA Cup with stolen and went bankrupt , couldn't pay the the players, local businesses, etc , other teams may not win much apart from the big fish, but at least they aren't crooked.
Looks like most of your fans weren't as bothered as you about winning a Div 3 trophy were they 130? You enjoy yourself?, rain held off.
Didn't really need Southsea Common did you?, could have easy fitted that lot in the Fratton End as still had plenty of empty seats Most of them were probably there to see the women's team anyway.
