Klopp? The scousers have always been a bit funny about England, think they like to think they might be more Irish or Apache or something, never been able to work it out, plus I don’t care. Anyway, rather than leave that lot for England, a clean break and ‘thinking time’ would be the sensible PR way out of trouble and avoid any unwanted Stevie G shenanigans. We’ll see. |

If Leeds beat Southampton we’ve almost levelled up the North/South divide. 10 Northern, 2 Midlands,10 Southern and a couple of Welshies. If Sky show the 10 Northern away games live we can get our carbon footprint down to net zero. What a time to be alive. |

Using the Pythagoras Theorem method, if we raised the pitch on the Ellerslie Road side by approx 16 metres, forming a ‘Yeovil slope’ to the South Africa Road side, we would add another 6 foot to the overall width of the pitch. It would mean Ellerslie Road season ticket holders would no longer have a view of the pitch, or the entire ground for that matter, but on the plus side, we in the South Africa Road would have a panoramic view of proceedings. |

Let’s face it, this is not going to go well. |
| Forum Reply | End of Term Report 23/24 – Goalkeepers at 10:44 17 May 2024
Blimey, I can only assume Joe Lumley was on E’s in every end of term report? He must have been on something. Go along with the general theme and I’ve no idea how Opta work out their ratings, I’m sure they’re very good at it. That said, if there was the equivalent of a one on one situation where a goal against seemed more likely than unlikely, I generally felt that Begovic did exactly what a good keeper should do and saved more of those than anyone in recent memory aside of the other aforementioned bench sitter you spoke of who was excellent for us, his name will come back to me in a minute. There were errors without doubt and the leave it to centre backs option was alarming but I can’t get past the fact that QPR don’t often do under 60 goals conceded especially in a side rooted in the bottom three for most of the season. A D feels a bit harsh in those circumstances. That said, you seem to be on the sort of roll where I can’t wait to see the forwards appraisals! Smithies, that’s the one. |

They’ve all been as useless as we were in our last relegation so nothing to fear. Next season is as inviting as it’s been for many years, case of who wants to step up. |

I wonder how much they’ll charge for a Taylor Richards. |

Yeah, this is him. Think he was in Heaven 17 as well. |

Seeing as JCS is our only obvious money spinner at the present time, I’m fairly relaxed about that being an issue. Ideally I’d like us to keep him but if offered enough we might get nearer boosting our front line. Most importantly we’ve got a good back line and centre mid that are not in huge demand down to a mixture of age and under the radar types, having played in a failing team for so long. In that respect Les & Co did a good job. Finding a successful way to break up the Dykes-Willock-Chair axis will define how far we move forward. It’d be nice to try and do it before Cook starts creaking, that would upset everything I fear. |

Must be disconcerting to see BOOT SALE as related news. Good luck to him though, reckon he’ll find a place at a slightly lower level. |

To be honest, apart from this, I don’t do social media. Got a Tottenham mate who I’ve been baiting for years on this and OSW (One Season Wonder) as I refer to him. Rattles him every time, despite the fact he’s clearly not a one season wonder, so can’t help meself. |

Is there such a thing as a Jonah? Think I read somewhere last time Bayern failed to win the Bundesliga he was on loan at Millwall. |

Fair play to you and all those who do those trips, particularly difficult given how poor we were pre 2024. A 3 to 1 gain would be a step in the right direction, though sadly suspect it’s Bolton you’ll be bolting on to your north west trips. |

Didn’t we come to the conclusion we’d only be nicking a song other clubs are already using, one of those being the scum down the road. A no-no simply on that basis. |

Think we stand to receive an extra £3m or so from this deal so at our average ticket price, we’d probably have to lose 5000 supporters from each and every home game to make this unviable. Unlikely to happen in a 17500 capacity stadium so financially a good deal for us. More likely to affect away support than anything so we just need to evaluate how the school end gets divided up after the first season. Will miss the volume of 3pm Saturday games we’ve had this season but to be fair, we only got them because we spent most of the season being as poor as everyone expected. [Post edited 8 May 16:38]

Ideally most of the 20 live games would be away from home and t’up North. |
