Money Claims Swans The Best

Walsall manager Richard Money has proclaimed the Swans the best side in the division

Although I am sure the second part of that comment is very much tongue in cheek, it is easy to see how sides believe that the Swans are heading up with an eight point lead in the division already and a game in hand for good measure as well.

As Money prepares his side to face the high flying Swans at the Liberty this evening, Money believes that having seen them beat his side twice already this season, it will be the toughest test that the Saddlers will endure in their remaining game as they contemplate their own fight to get into the Championship.

Speaking to the Express & Star newspaper, Money said “I think that you might as well wrap up the League One championship trophy and give it to them now

“There haven’t been many teams that have picked up much at the Liberty Stadium this season and they are very capable of putting teams to the sword.

“It’s a tough game, there’s no doubt about that.

“I’ve probably seen them more than anyone else this year and they are the best team in the division by a country mile,” he said.

“They’re a good team all round. They’ve got a lot of individuals that can hurt you.”

“Jason Scotland is obviously one of their key threats but I could name about six others and we’re going to have to defend extremely well as a team if we’re going to have any chance .”

“We’ve got one or two doubts for tonight,” Money said.

“Wrack can’t play after suffering from concussion on Saturday and we will have to assess the situation regarding Mark Bradley today.

“But until I know exactly who is and who isn’t fit I won’t know exactly what the team will be because we’ve got one or two knocks.

“Alex Nicholls has got stitches in his forehead as well so we’ve got one or two bumps and bruises.”
