What Has Happened Here?

What Has Happened?

We have gone from a very entertaining, committed, fit, winning team into a boring, uncommitted, unfit, losing team! These are the same players that sat proudly at the top of the league earlier in the season scoring goals left, right and centre.

Being top of the league now sadly seems a distant memory. What are they doing wrong now that they wasn't doing wrong at the start of the season? Maybe our "skilful" players have been sussed out? Trundle for example, at the start of the season he was like a breathe of fresh air, entertaining the fans with his silky skills, ability to create a goal out of nothing etc etc- now? well now he seems un-interested, has been sussed out and tried to show off too much, plus he has put on weight (Due to beer) and is becoming injured all the time.

I am by no means saying Trundle is a bad payer and i don't want to come across as a hypocrite but it's just my opinion. We all know that Flynn's famous 4-3-3 formation is a major factor in us failing to achieve a play off place this season but surely if the players are as good as people (Including me at times) make out to be then surely we would still have the ability to beat the likes of Macc, Southend, Kiddy etc no matter what formation is played?

The players don't show the lower placed teams any respect and that really makes me angry! especially after what happened last season. Last season was a nightmare which ended in a a huge relief. This season is the complete opposite. Ok- maybe sitting in 10th/11th place in division 3, a year after scraping relegation by the skins of our teeth isn't as bad as people make out BUT it hurts badly when we all know that the players we have our capable of finishing higher (Or i thought they were). I (maybe along with many others) would appreciate it, if the players actually showed a bit of respect to the fans during the Flynn/reeves departures etc instead of complaining over the fact that they have gone then again THE PLAYERS had a BIG part in costing Flynn and Reeves their jobs.

To witness the likes of Torquay and Lincoln who get around 3,500/4,000 every week, and no money to spend sitting proudly in the play offs makes me quite sad. Just goes to show you haven't got to have QUALITY to achieve success but sheer desire, commitment and pride.

Today just summed up what A very disappointing season we have had. If people have a go at me for criticising the players then I can say that im always one of the first to praise the players when they deserve sit so when they play bad, i think it's only fair they get criticised. Lets just hope Kenny Jackett is the man to take us foward and i wish all the very best because at the moment he has a hell of a job on his hands with our current crop of players. SWANSEA TILL I DIE!
