Sandell Eyes Swans Move

Bath City's Andy Sandell is hoping for a dream move to Swansea City after training with the Coca-Cola League 1 club this week. The 22-year-old left winger, who cost City £1,500 from Paulton Rovers just four months ago, has spent the last three days with the Swansea first team and claims he is 'fitting in well' alongside the likes of Lee Trundle and Kevin Nugent.Sandell expects to be called back for more training over the next few weeks with a possible permanent move to the promotion-chasing club when the transfer window reopens in January. "It's very exciting but you have to be so switched on," revealed Sandell. "When someone plays you the ball you have to be looking up for the next pass before it's even got to you. Just training with them makes you a better player. I'm learning all the time. "At Bath we have good, well-structured training, but the facilities and level of training here (Swansea) are like nothing I've seen before. The fitness levels are obviously a lot higher and you have to be sharper and stronger. It's very exciting just to be here." Even if Swansea make a bid and the two teams agree terms, Sandell could make an immediate return to Twerton Park on a season-long loan. "I think I've been playing well (in training) and my technique has been good but it's up to them at the end of the day. I'm just glad to be training to be honest," said Sandell. "I'm enjoying it at Bath but if Swansea make an offer, although they might decide not to, then it would be great if the two clubs could agree a figure." Sandell claims training at Swansea has even helped him overcome a foot injury he picked up in the 0-0 draw with Halesowen two weeks ago. The winger limped off with the same injury against Gloucester at the weekend. "It's just a bit of tissue under my left heel that's stiffened up but you have access to the facilities all the time here (Swansea) and it makes such a big difference," he added.
