Webber: Swansea Is An Option
Former Sheffield United striker Danny Webber has confirmed he has held talks with Swans boss Paulo Sousa
Sousa revealed that he had spoken with the former Manchester United trainee, who is currently available on a free transfer after leaving the Blades in the summer, last week and Webber says that talks went well.
The Swans are desperately seeking to add firepower to the depleted squad which has seen top scorers Jordi Gomez and Jason Scotland leave over the summer.
"I've spoken to Swansea and I was very impressed with Paulo Sousa, in his methods and the way he plays his football, so that is another option that I have to consider along with a number of choices," he told skysports.com.
"People may be wondering why I haven't signed anywhere else since leaving Sheffield United during the summer, but it's just about making the right decision and going with my gut feeling.
"It is frustrating to watch other players playing their football, whilst I'm not able to be out there myself, but that isn't because I haven't had any offers.
"It's just a case of playing the waiting game and making sure that I join the right club for me. There are certain things that are just taking a little bit of time to sort out."
