Dyche Disappointed In Defeat

It would be difficult to argue too much with Sean Dyche's after match view that his side deserved something from the game especially after he changed their approach at half time.

Without a doubt as well Burnley were second best in the second half but whatever he put in the half time tea worked as they were the better side in the second 45 minutes and most definitely were unlucky not to head back home with at least a point.

That said they never really threatened to score the equaliser that their possession probably deserved and Fabianski was reasonably in control in the most whilst keeping his first Swans clean sheet.

Dyche is potentially right in saying that he thought he showed us too much respect in the first half but they seem to be lacking the cutting edge that would give them a better chance to remain in the division and whilst they looked dangerous going forward there was a distinct lack of a cutting edge to their play and also the lack of a main man up front to be in the right place at the right time.

With Manchester United next up for the Clarets you would suggest that they are likely to go into the international break empty handed in terms of points and that means a season of struggle beckons.

"It's disappointing that we didn't come away with anything, but you could see the growth from us," he told BBC Sport.

"In the second half, we were excellent.

"Sometimes, when you are promoted, you are wondering if you belong here. In the first half, we showed them too much respect and at half-time I said 'go out and express yourselves'

"The movement, energy and determination was good, but we have to learn quickly. "

Despite having the most chances according to the BBC match stats, Burnley managed just one shot on target and that is Dyche's greatest issue that he needs to address.

Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
