Awesome Swans Keep Marching On

It is always a good time to be a Swansea City fan but at this moment in time it is an awesome time to be a Swansea City fan as we maintained our 100% start to the season with a comprehensive destruction of West Brom at the Liberty.

We have now won an incredible 6 of our last 7 Premier League games and 7 from 8 in all competitions which shows the new steel that exists at the club and today we showed that we can do it in style as well by simply tearing West Brom apart from the off and could easily have had more goals to show for our endeavours.

Quite simply today we were brilliant to a man. This was a performance that you could not really fault and one of those days that you just knew the Swans were irresistible and everything that was good about what we did today went through the magnificent Gylfi Sigurdsson.

I have already said on these pages that he will prove to be one of the signings of the season and the brilliance with which he combined with Nathan twice for Dyer's two goals was a joy to watch,. The neat crisp passing and the backheel that led to the first was a piece of football that should be praised to the hilt on the highlight shows this weekend and the soft touch to play Nathan through for the second was a touch that not too many in the Premier League could come up with.

Gylfi already has four assists and one goal in our six Premier League goals this season and whilst he may have looked distinctly average at Spurs, at Swansea he knows he has the freedom to play with the skills that he has and we certainly work with his strengths.

If Nathan's two finishes were cool from the winger then the goal scored by Routs was world class. I cannot emphasise enough how hard the skill is to hit a ball like that whilst in mid air but Ben Foster would have been better just standing and applauding rather than trying to save it because it simply was so well hit no keeper would have stopped that.

The three goals were brilliant but so was pretty much everything about today. The midfield trio of Gylfi, Shelvey and Ki controlled the game and the introduction of Tom Carrol was enough to tell me that we have found another midfield gem.

How Wilf didn't grab his first goal of the season is beyond me today but its coming and maybe he will start in two weeks against Chelsea which is now a top of the table clash. A six pointer almost !!

One thing to notice about Wilf today was his hang time in the air which was incredible - there were at least two or three occasions where he almost seemed to hold still in mid air waiting for the ball to come to him and despite his nil goal return this was a hugely impressive display from our record signing.

At the back I cannot praise Jordi Amat enough. It says something that we have an Argentinian international currently warming our bench but the displays of Amat just cannot be praised highly enough for me at the moment.

A 3-0 win was the very least we deserved today and I have to say that as a fan I was absolutely buzzing coming our of the game tonight and long may it continue. For anybody that doubted that we had lost the style today proved that we can entertain as well as grind out the results and these are very special days to be a Swans fan.

Happy days.

Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
