Montero Takes Your Votes
Jefferson Montero is the clear winner of your man of the match award for the Swans midweek Capital One clash against Everton after his brilliant display against Roberto Martinez side.
Montero rated 8.8 out of 10 amongst the fans that casted their vote after the Swans beat Everton for the first time in their history. His pace and ability on the left flank was no match for Everton who had no answer to Montero giving the wide man an excellent chance of a league start this weekend against Sunderland.
Montero ended up almost a full point ahead of Gylfi Sigurdsson in 2nd place (7.9) and Nathan Dyer in 3rd was further back again with 7.7 as all bar three of the Swans starting XI eclipsed 7 out of 10 as their rating amongst the fans.
On contrast Brian Oviedo at 5.8 was the highest ranked Everton player with many of them scoring less than half the available score which probably summed up a dismal night for Everton who have stuttered badly at the start of the season.
The win for the Swans took them through to the next stage of the competition where they were drawn against Everton's cross city rivals in Liverpool - a repeat of the fourth round tie two years ago.
