Manchester City Score Eight In Vietman
Our pre-season round up of Monday's action is a little quieter as the various tours prepare to come to an end but there is news of a comprehensive win for Manchester City on their summer tour.
Vietnam 1 Manchester City 8
Aleks Kolarov, Raheem Sterling and David Silva all scored twice as the twice Premier League Champions ran riot in their latest tour game at the My Dinh Stadium.
Marcos Lopes and Jose Angel Pozo completed the scoring to sign off their July trip in consummate style.
A last minute goal for Vietman was of course nothing more than consolation and City will now head back to the UK before a game in Stuttgart at the weekend.
Raheem Sterling: "The most impressive thing [about Vietnam] was the people here — they’re really welcoming, they love football and to be welcomed in the way we were was really heart-warming.
"I’m really happy to be here and hope I can come back again soon.”
