Swansea City beat Manchester United for the third consecutive game after goals from Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis pulled them back from a goal down in front of a passionate Liberty Stadium crowd.
It was just reward for a Swans side who had the best of the chances and also a great moment for Garry Monk who made a tactical change soon after seeing his side go a goal behind and seeing immediate dividends through the two goals.
After last seasons league double over the Red Devils there was little doubt that they came to Swansea looking to right what they believe to be a wrong as they hurried us on the ball for large periods of the first half but in truth outside of a first minute free kick and a wicked deflection from Ashley Williams there was not much that Lukasz Fabianski had to do to keep them at bay.
The Swans on the other hand saw a gilt edged chance go begging from Gylfi Sigurdsson in the first half and Gomis almost scored a goal of the season contender and was desperately unlucky to see the effort come back off the post as the better of the chances came our way.
We were dealt a blow before kick off with the injury to Jefferson Montero meaning that Garry Monk had to make a change and bring in Wayne Routledge and the Swans danger on that side was nullified as Routledge we know does not have the attacking threat of the Ecuadorian.
The Swans found themselves a goal down in the second half when they surrendered possession in midfield and a quick Man Utd counter saw the ball come across the area to be converted at the back post. It looked and felt sloppy defending at the time but there was no worrying on that front from the visitors as they celebrated their goal.
Monk was almost instant in his response and he replaced Routledge with Ki and with it the Swans game went up a notch very quickly.
Sigurdsson's cross was headed past Romero by Andre Ayew for his third goal of the season and just five minutes later the scorer turned provider with a superb pass to Gomis and his shot went in under the body of Romero.
The Liberty was bouncing and United in truth really had nothing in reserve to peg back the Swans who had worked tirelessly all afternoon and fully deserved the three points that they secured at the end of the game.
The win lifted us into the Top four of the Premier League as it goes into it's first international break of the season and with confidence high at the Liberty we can surely not wait for it to come back after that break
