Neil - We Were The Better Team
Norwich City manager Alex Neil was under no illusion that it was his side who were the most threatening at Carrow Road after he watched Johnny Howson score the only goal of the game in the second half to secure the three points.
Neil had to listen to his opposite number Garry Monk claim that his side were in control despite having no shots on target in the 90 minutes and it is reasonably clear that the home manager believed that his side were the best on the day.
The Swans certainly had the bulk of the possession but as we have said many times it is pointless having that level of possession if you are not to trouble the goalkeeper when you have the ball.
Speaking after the game, the Norwich boss said "We created the best chances in the game and kept it tight at the back. It certainly wasn’t one of our best performances of the season, but it was up there in terms of defensive organisation.
"I thought we were the most threatening team in the game, no question — we could have scored more.
"I’m delighted for the win and really delighted for the players. Our confidence has never been in question, but we needed to ensure we got points on the board.
"Next week no-one will talk about the nature of the performance, just that we won the game.”
