Hunt in hot water over pro-Gala tweet?
Former Leeds striker Noel Hunt forced to defend himself after posting a tweet congratulating his old Reading team mate Jem Karacan.
The tubby Irish striker, who was one of the worst players I've seen in a white-shirt became the latest player to fall foul of the Elland Road Twitter warriors when he posted a tweet from his @boyhunt account congratulating Karacan on scoring his first goal for Galatasary.
He included a link to the goal.
The very mention of the Turkish club understandably provokes an ugly reaction in these parts following the murder of Kevin Speight and Chris Lofthouse 16 years ago this April, however I feel Hunt was merely congratulating his old team mate and not intending to provoke a reaction from Leeds fans, which is what he got in some quarters although many Leeds fans concurred with my view.
After leaving Leeds following 20 appearances without a goal, Hunt had a brief spell at Ipswich and now turns out for Southend United.

Swansea City : The confusing decision making for a whole season It was a pretty poor end to what can only be described as a disappointing football season for Swansea City. The defeat to Millwall yesterday was a display that has frustrated Swansea City supporters all season. A lack of effort, intensity and desire rewarding the home support with yet another home loss.
Swansea City : Grimes misses a penalty in a return to bad old ways An error strewn and tepid Swansea display ensured thousands left the stadium before the staff and players did their usual walk around at this end of season game. It wasn’t a good look as two players received red cards and any effort by the home side was lost in a static and frustrating display.
Gwyn’s Eye View : Swansea City v MillwallGlyn is back with his favourite stats as we build up to the last game of the season. That comes in the form of Millwall who it seems are close to selling their requested 1,148 allocation, so its down to the Jack Army to do their bit this bank holiday weekend.
