Alessandra joins Minstermen
Dale's forgotten man Lewis Alessandra has joined York City on an initial month's loan.
After becoming Keith Hill's stand out signing last Summer, it's been a season to forget for the former Oldham wideman as he has found first team opportunities had to come by and he will head to York with a view to playing some games.
In joining the club last Summer, he turned down a move to Oxford preferring a switch to Dale that would bring him closer to his Heywood home. There had been speculation of a loan switch to Oxford or even a move back to Oldham to reunite with former manager John Sheridan.
As it stands, Alessandra has made just four starts for Dale in all competitions with a further seven appearances off the bench, claiming two goals along the way.
