G.M's Match Preview: Rams Will Show Enough To Cause Terriers Trouble

Derby face a tough away game against surprise package Huddersfield.

Against a good Brentford side on Tuesday, Derby pushed for a goal, but had to keep it tight at the back and ensure they did not concede. Sometimes passes went astray, sometimes Derby deserved a goal. A point each was a fair result.

Will Hughes should be fit for Derby relegating Bryson to the bench again. Max Lowe is still battling a groin strain so Olsson may replace Baird who was underwhelming during the week at left back.

Vydra is likely to continue up front but Russell is pushing for a start. Weimann will be hoping to make an impact from the bench and Blackman is still out injured.

The day after Derby drew at home to Brentford Huddersfield got battered away to Preston, with set pieces causing then major problems.

Despite their recent loss, the Terriers have made a superb start to the season and will hope to keep their good start going against The Rams.

Currently they sit comfortably in the play offs and on Saturday we will see whether their last 2 results have been merely hiccup or their bubble has burst.

It will be a tough test for Derby as the honeymoon period of two home games is over. Performances and entertainment has improved since Pearson left and The Rams are on a mini run in the past 4 games unbeaten.

Scannel and Kachunga pose the attacking threat for Huddersfield and overall the Terriers are hard to break down, are organised and play some good football.

Match Prediction:

Huddersfield have lost their last 2 games and this will be a big test for both teams.

Can Derby get themselves out of trouble?

Are Huddersfield a flash in the pan?

Derby have quite a good record at Huddersfield and have the forward prowess to create chances. The biggest criticism has been the crossing as it has been awful from a number of players.

1-1 draw with Ince to score.

Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.

Sam Parker hasn’t turned down a new deal, he is willing to negotiate
He was a revelation for the Swans for the few games he played this season, and now it emerges Sam Parker has ‘turned down’ a new Swansea City contract. News is thin on the ground, and some of it just incorrect as he looks to involve his representatives in some further negotiations. Plus his current contract runs for two more years.
Swansea City : The vision is clearer, so Jamal Lowe ?
There were some worrying moments for the Swans yesterday, on three occasions mistakes from playing out from the back nearly saw the home side score. And is there now a case for Jamal Lowe to be offered a contract at Swansea ?
