The Swans close off what has been a pretty miserable 2016 with the visit of Bournemouth to the Liberty Stadium tomorrow, a game that really can only be described as a must win encounter as the season reaches its halfway mark.
After the debacle of the 4-1 defeat at home to West Ham that sealed the fate of Bob Bradley the Swans will go into this game under the caretaker management of Alan Curtis as the hunt for a new manager goes on but appears to be narrowed down to one of two candidates.
But while we need that search to be completed as soon as possible the key for now is to focus on what needs to be done on the pitch tomorrow and Curtis will be tasked with shoring up a defence that has been beaten at least three times in five of the last six outings.
It is that statistic that shows you just why we are 19th in the division but we should remember that we are only four points away from 17th and a win tomorrow would do wonders to the confidence levels ahead of the trip to Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
The Swans will not have the luxury of Jefferson Montero to pick from after he picked up an injury in that Boxing Day defeat although Neil Taylor is back in contention after missing out on Monday.
Fernando Llorente is expected to return to the side to lead the line whilst we could return to a more familiar formation as opposed to what we saw on Boxing Day.
Bournemouth midfielder Marc Pugh remains out with a hamstring problem, while Lewis Cook is still sidelined.
On-loan defender Nathan Ake returns after being ineligible to face his parent club Chelsea in the last game.
There is much more of a feeling of optimism about the club since Bradley was removed on Tuesday and I think the lift from Curtis will make a difference and see the Swans get the win that we so desperately need. Prior to Boxing Day we had won to on the bounce at home and I expect that to become three from four tomorrow. 3-1 Swans.
It's not just pointing the finger at the boys at the back. The whole team has to be more resilient.
