Turkish Delight For Gomis?

Bafetimbi Gomis appears to be a man in demand and there is interest from Turkish clubs Galatasary and Fenerbahçe to secure his services now that his loan spell in France is over.

Gomis joined Marseille on loan at the start of the season and was a hit in France which prompted Paul Clement to suggest back in March that he could consider bringing him back to Swansea at the end of the season.

"Of course there is a chance of him coming back and having a chance in pre-season, he’s our player," said Clement at the time.

"He’s a good player as well. I remember him at Lyon when I was at PSG. But, it’s a situation we will look at at the end of the season.

"There is no point in even looking at it or thinking about making a call on that now."

Gomis himself though appeared to rule that out when he suggested that he wanted to stay at Marseille "When you’re happy somewhere, you don’t want it to stop. Do I want to stay? Yes, but I cannot look further than the end of my contract," he told Sport Witness shortly after Clement's suggestion.

"I’m only on loan. There are few players who are born in the area and are lucky enough to wear this shirt."

But now it looks like the chances are good that Gomis could end up elsewhere with BeinSports’ Sansal Buyuka says Swansea City forward Bafetimbi Gomis is the first choice forward target for Galatasaray this summer.

Speaking to Fanatik, Bayuka confirmed the Turkish giants are interested in the player when he said: "I’ve heard the name of Bafetimbi Gomis. From multiple sources. It’s safe to say Galatasaray are chasing him.”

Recent reports from the Turkish press have also suggested Fenerbahçe are in the hunt for Gomis, as they look to replace Fernandao and Emenike in the next window.

Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
