Montero Looking Forward To New Chance
Jefferson Montero and his dodgy hamstring are off on a new challenge after the winger's move to Spain and Getafe during the last transfer window.
A player who promised much but spent too much time on the sidelines would be the best way to describe his time in Swansea over the past few years but he is now on someone else's books and looking forward to his new challenge.
"I’m really happy to return to La Liga, this is a fresh start,” Montero, formerly of Villarreal, Levante and Real Betis, said this week.
"Hopefully my injuries are now behind me, I believe they are and I have trained well since arriving here so things are positive.
"My opening game against Leganes? It’s great to start with a derby as the fans will really be behind us, but they have won six points from six and are in good form, so it will be a very tough match.
"I don’t regret my move to England, it was fantastic to experience a different league despite the problems I had with injuries and it made me who I am today.”
