Beat The Bookie - Rotherham United

One of the challenges facing any football fan is the ability to beat the bookie and particularly with their own team involved. In the first of a new feature on Planet Swans we now bring you ahead of the Swans next game where we see the value in the odds.

We have teamed up with the official club sponsor - BetUK to look through the odds available for the upcoming fixture and share with you where our own hard earned cash will be placed for this particular fixture.

It is Rotherham away for the Swans this weekend as we look to secure a third consecutive league win and on that could lift us into the play off places.

The Millers are a side that we have a reasonably even league record against - 23 wins each with 22 draws. If you fancy that to become 23-23-23 then you can get odds of 9/4 for that to happen.

That though isn't what we will be backing - we think the Swans are full of confidence at the moment and that will shine through in tomorrow's game and at odds of 6/5 for an away win that is just too good a chance to miss.

Defensively we remain strong but still don't score huge amounts of goals so why not fancy the 1-0 win for the Swans which is an attractive looking 27/4 at this point.

In terms of goalscorer of course there is always the favourites to back but we always tend to look at value in this market and Connor Roberts to score anytime at 11/1 says value to me, you can stretch that to 28/1 if you fancy him to score first.

The Swans aren't renowned for first half goals away from home (or any goals for that matter) so I would be tempted at 61-70 minutes for the first goal at 8/1 again suggests good value.

Finally, I would pick up the first booking odds on the game - the Swans have had just 7 yellow cards this season compared to Rotherham's 26 so backing the home side at 4/5 to get the first booking of the match and the same odds for the last one should give you a decent chance of a return.
