Returning to winning ways?

The Swans return to football matters today and look to secure an immediate return to winning ways with the visit of Millwall to the Liberty Stadium.

After last week's first defeat of the year against Bristol City, there was the immediate resignation of the Chairman that took everybody by surprise and has certainly put a focus in the last week around off the pitch matters rather than those on the pitch.

It means for Graham Potter that there has been pretty minimal activity during the week or focus around his team selection which is probably a good thing as it should have given him time to bring his squad back together particularly for those players who looked as if they were on their way out a week or so ago.

Dan James and Leroy Fer though are part of the Swans squad for the remainder of the season and reports this week have also surfaced to suggest that new contracts are on the table for those that we feared could be moved on in the summer with more departures having been predicted from the squad.

The Swans are 11/10 to win the game this afternoon, Millwall at 53/20 and the draw at 23/10.

Oliver McBurnie finds himself a doubt for the game that should give Courtney Baker-Richardson a chance for a start and if you fancy him to capitalise on that then odds of 6/1 for him to score the first goal are available for you.

The Swans I think could find themselves with a point to prove this afternoon and at odds of 17/1 then I have a gut feel that 3-0 is a good bet for the afternoon with our final tip being the 35,000/1 on offer that Huw Jenkins will come off the bench to score a late winner. (That's not a real market by the way just a test to see if anyone is paying attention)

Whichever way you look at it though it is nice to return to the football again - let's hope the team deliver on the pitch and that is where our focus needs to be.

Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
