Sunday Football : Reading v Swansea City TEAMS

One point is all that is needed for the swans to guarantee a play off place, The noon kick off at the Madejski Stadium is also Reading’s last opportunity to put pressure on the swans in sixth place.

Steve Cooper
"All season we have tried to be positive and on the front foot and we want to continue with that,” said the Swans boss. Sometimes we have played better than others, but we have always looked to be positive and that does not change. So, I don’t know what sort of message you send out to the players if you play for a draw, we always want to win. I think that whatever has happened before is now behind us and we look forward. "We are in a positive position in terms of the play-offs, and we should take confidence from that and look to get the job done."

Veljko Paunovic
"It gets much more difficult but we will not give up and we have to be ready if things go well on the other side. "It's definitely worth giving our best to the end and you never know in football. Things change very quickly and we have to be ready to convert our opportunity. "This is the last moment to understand how important this is. It's not going to be easy or perfect opportunities at this point in the season and you have to be clinical. You're going to have an opponent on top of your neck and you have to fight that but that's what teams do. That's what we have to do and get better at."

Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.

Sam Parker hasn’t turned down a new deal, he is willing to negotiate
He was a revelation for the Swans for the few games he played this season, and now it emerges Sam Parker has ‘turned down’ a new Swansea City contract. News is thin on the ground, and some of it just incorrect as he looks to involve his representatives in some further negotiations. Plus his current contract runs for two more years.
Swansea City : The vision is clearer, so Jamal Lowe ?
There were some worrying moments for the Swans yesterday, on three occasions mistakes from playing out from the back nearly saw the home side score. And is there now a case for Jamal Lowe to be offered a contract at Swansea ?
