Prolific goal scorer is of interest to Swansea City

A proven and prolific goal scorer seems to be of interest to the swans as they continue their search for a proven goal scorer this closed season. Erkan Kara has been identified by Andy Scott of interest and Julian Winter is not dismissing anything this evening as the swans hunt for an answer to their goal scoring problems.

Erkan’s record is mouthwatering and the Austrian news agency "Kronen” and other independent news outlets have reported the swans are on his trail. Here is what we know about him. First of all his goal scoring record.

2012—2014 SK Slovan HAC 65 / 33 goals

2014—2016 Austria Wien II 20/ 1 goal

2016—2019 Mauerwerk 87/83 goals

2019—2020 Horn 16/13 goals

2020— Rapid Vienna 30/15 goals

Even his record this past season at Rapid Vienna is stunning, At twenty five years of age and nearly 6’5” he has gone pretty much under the radar, and it is believed the swans could make the transfer permanent if they can achieve 3.5 million euros which is Rapid’s asking price.

Swansea City have a variety of irons in the fire, Thomas Henry is still in talks and Joel Piroe has been the subject of an offer this month from the club. However, this latest target is a real statement of intent and if the swans get him to the Liberty it will be a massive coup.

More as we get it.
