Luke Williams is playing down any injuries and possibly having learned from recent times gave nothing away on injuries or players out for Sunday and the game away at Bristol City. That said Jamie Paterson is still receiving daily treatment after putting in a hard shift for the draw at Watford.
It seems as well that Joe Allen won’t feature for the full ninety either, ‘managing’ his appearances has been a constant since he started back in a Swans shirt. It has already been mentioned twice this week that he will be carefully considered when fixtures are close to each other. And on Josh Key it also looks like he may remain on the bench for this one.

It’s interesting to note that Jamie Paterson isn’t assured of a new deal come the summer. Even with the Swans head coach knowing a lot about him and being instrumental when Paterson signed during his first spell at Swansea with Russell Martin. It seems there may not be a place for him if the squad planning goes well in the summer. On the subject Paterson (below) has said, "It’s quite obvious I would want to stay. There is no reason for me to want to move away. I love being at this club, I have the whole time, with the new manager coming in as well, it gives you even more confidence. There would no reason for me to go elsewhere but at the same time, it’s not up to me.”
Four Swans players but only one remains
Bristol City head coach Liam Manning replaced Russell Martin when he joined the Swans from MK Dons. Since then he has managed successfully at Oxford United as he did at MK with a forty eight percent win rate. Since joining the Robins it hasn’t gone that well with only seven wins from twenty five games resulting in a twenty eight percent win rate. The natives are now getting restless and the men at the top, Steve and Jon Lansdown are not frightened to pull the plug on their managers.
Their last six results aren’t impressive but they are not being put to the sword by any means. A bit like the Swans since Luke took charge they are learning a new way of playing under Manning.
The Swans have improved, those seven points from the last available nine have ensured some security away from the relegation zone but this match is never easy for either side.
On recent results the Swans will be very slight favourites, but we all know how a complete ninety minute performance is beyond them at the moment. Of course that has to change, can it be on Sunday ?
