Swans v Stoke City latest : And let’s be honest he should be sacked now !

There’s a particularly concerning record for Wednesday night’s visitors, Stoke City. We will have a look at that in this report. The past few weeks have indeed taken their toll on Swans fans, we’ve covered it already, there’s nothing more to be said. What we want to see right now is action and leave your words in the dressing room.

The Potters come to Swansea with more than a decent record against the Swans. What isn’t a decent record is their penalty taking since 2016. It’s nothing short of shocking. As reported on Stoke on Trent LIVE there is a lot of cause for concern, the club just can’t find a decent spot kick taker. Stoke have had thirty three penalties in the league in that time, scoring fifteen and missed eighteen. And that trend continues this season, even recently. Andre Vidigal, being the latest offender against West Bromwich Albion.

Long may that continue, at least this week !

Yesterday’s feature (above) by our website’s owner/editor certainly caused a stir. And rightly so, We obviously realise that ‘The Indy’ is where most fans come for forthright views and more intricate assessment on the Swans. That article has well over 21,000 views in total and counting. Even our forum members chipped in with over 2,500 of that number. So, how was that feature received within the club yesterday ? We can tell you with an arrogance and belligerence that is openly contrary to all these words we hear about togetherness and solidarity. The brief we heard at the fans forum a few weeks ago completely dismissed. That’s where our club is at the moment. We have tried on several occasions to bridge the gap the club has opened between the Swans biggest website outside of the official channel. All we have received since day one is a shocking response from the ‘Head Of Communications’ Ben Donovan, "That depends on what you write on the website” And that well before any relationship was cut by him and the current Chairman. It’s all there for all to see - if we are challenged. Telling people not to visit a website that supports a charity thus affecting its profile to support that charity is truly shocking. At this moment in time we have an obsessed ‘Head Of Communications’ who has told many people - who will stand up at any time, stay away from Swansea Independent. Recorded, evidenced and ready to go at anytime they like. The emails (some we have) which we submitted a ‘subject access request’ on were not disclosed, yet we have some in our possession, that’s the real rub with this administration, its all words, all bluff and a complete deception to drag people in.

For anyone interested - look up the ‘failure to disclose information’ on a person held by a business, and the implications. Those implications won’t go away, not whilst this website exists. The club are sleepwalking in to a situation based on their ego, ignorance and the false security that this Swans fanbase hasn’t got it in them to react. As we have said, surround yourself with turkeys, hanging on your every word, giving you a false sense of security, and you only get fed once a year. Our belief is you get fed every day via this website. It’s for you to make your own minds up. An adult discussion is always available, But not it seems within the confines of the Swansea.Com.

And that comes from a proper Irishman.

If you want any information collected on you by Swansea City FC. Email them and include your details. They have a timeframe they have to adhere to and that’s all you have to do. And that’s for anyone regards any situation, ex employee, employee, ex players, players, fans, in fact anyone. The pressure needs to be increased. You will be surprised what you receive back. That is if they disclose what they have. It’s unwise not to do so. Currently of course information is being held back. That just doesn’t work. You can of course email this website on Swansea.Independent1@gmail.com and join many others just waiting to do exactly the same, all at once.

And all this down to a communications employee who has neither the experience nor the acumen to see the implications of his actions. Foresight is at times lost on people with a perceived position of safety. When you cast the first stone you need to have the intelligence to foresee the consequences.

Our call is simple. Sack him now for bringing the club into disrepute with its customer base by behaving and acting not only above his station but in a manner that constitutes a breach of his contract. Oh, and we have that as well, in black and white.

Since this website launched it has been a complete success especially for the brain tumour charity. Every registration increases awareness on the symptoms and provides information on how you or a family member can identify the illness

That way they and we can see the impact of the website on awareness and donations made. We thank each and everyone of you for your efforts. Your support gives the only relevance we need to continue. Currently the website flutters around a million views a month. An ever growing website day to day.

There is no other website that wants the Swans to win as much as we do. We are connected to people who tell us most things from the heart of the club, and of course many from the outside. Things like how the hierarchy are perceived at other clubs, what their lack of experience displays in other boardrooms, ability, perception, expertise, conversational awareness, and so much more. We will leave it with this, when an organisation undermines a portal like ours whose sole intention is to raise awareness and save lives that annoys people. And it particularly annoys those who have lost relatives and friends to this silent killer, Swans fans or not.

Swansea City : Rak-Sakyi chances improve dramatically
The Swans are still in a kind of limbo today as they look to at least seal a deal for out of contract defender Joel Ward this transfer window. And the news is ‘It is going to be a quiet window’ There could be movement in the academy but as it stands two young players of interest are not anywhere near to signing professional terms.
Swansea City : Jesurun Rak-Sakyi update and Josh Key back up named
You won’t get anything of note from a football club during any transfer window unless it comes with a caveat that it is in their interest for certain things to be mentioned, proposed or even disregarded as a result of information given. Swansea City have a very tight unit of those who have access to information and any leak is easily traced.
Big match report : Swans let it slip again at Millwall
It happens a lot would be the recollection from the Sheehan era. Unfortunately It still happens is the comment on Vitor Matos’s stewardship to date. And that’s conceding goals at the end of games and halves. Having got themselves into a position to take a point away from the New Den an added time winner from Millwall undone all the Swans hard work.

On the treatment table this afternoon have been Ronald (ankle / lower leg) Josh Key (foot injury) Adam Idah (long term hamstring) Ethan Galbraith (slight hamstring tweak) and Liam Cullen who is expected back for Birmingham City. That’s the latest, but things change.
Swans scrap it out to beat the Baggies
There were some worried looks when Swansea head coach, Vitor Matos announced his starting eleven against West Bromwich Albion, not least the fact he had no striker in the team. It turned out to be a masterstroke despite a fifteen minute period in the second half, and some uneasy moments at the end of this Championship fixture.
