Luka Modrić laughs out loud at Swansea house move !

Luka Modrić, when in the news these days always seems to prompt fervent Swans fans into hoping and praying that the Croatian will show more interest in the club, now that he is a part owner.

We’ve been able to clear up transfer links aplenty over the last few weeks, Holding what we believe is a high standard of reporting on our club. An example is below.

⚽️ Four rumours cleared up

Or here -

⚽️ Carlton Morris

And of course here -

⚽️ Sorry Ethan, no go

We do work very hard on our reports and try to clear up the information from elsewhere that simply doesn’t seem to us to ring true. We have every Swans fan at heart as we know you lot, like us are thirsty for news, especially at this time of year. Yes, there is information we can’t give out and would never do so to compromise anyone. Especially when it surrounds the hard work the club are doing, be that on the pitch or off it. There really is an exciting future to come at Swansea City and as much as it’s easy to give everyone a report a day on whatever is news we simply won’t do it. We have the trust of everyone who speaks to us, 95% from non affiliated sources to Swansea City. It’s a big world out there and we would never put anyone in the firing line, ever.

And we have worked very hard to earn that trust over the past five years.

The report in The Sun some four days ago that Luke Modrić is buying Leon Britton’s house near to the coast in Gower, Swansea, alerted Goal.com, Reddit in fact all social media outlets. Of course even with their track record, The Sun were so believable that you had to stop and think regards the validity of their claims. They state a source informed them, well they shouldn’t be using that person again as that information reported by Sun Sport wasn’t fact checked or even delved into. You would expect journalists at a major news outlet could just pick up the phone and ask appropriate questions to the appropriate people ?

Clearly not.

Then the Daily Mail repeated the story.

We looked into the report, and utilising our own sources who rarely give us anything unless we ask. So, we asked. One source who is very close to Luka stated. "Where did this info come from ? It’s totally inaccurate, whoever pedalled this is fabricating the whole thing. Luka hasn’t got an interest at this moment in time to purchase a house in Swansea. He still has at least two seasons left in him, he is super fit and his midfield play will see him at the World Cup next year”

"He will play at a high level to prepare for the World Cup”

Another source told us, "What on earth was that all about, Leon Britton does have a lovely house on Gower at Three Crosses, but Luka won’t be buying it. He has no plans as of today to buy any house in the UK, Wales or in Swansea. These reports are harmful to Swansea City and indeed Luka although he did laugh out loud when he found out about this silly report”

The thing is this plays on the minds of many thousands of Swansea fans who have been so happy since Luka joined the club as a part owner. That was sufficient to set tongues wagging, will he play for Swansea next season ? And many other questions which all have at this time the answer ‘no’ as a reply. His interest in Swansea City is merely future planning, bar the agreements in place regards promoting the club and assisting wherever he can as an interested and influential part of this new era. We have also asked the question on CEO Tom Gorringe and have been told, "Yes of course people move on eventually, but he’s only been at the club in his present position since March” We pressed them on the validity of these rumours but didn’t really get any more than that.

Stick with us, we do our best to bring you well researched news that the mainstream media simply don’t know how to research - or have the ability to do the basics of journalism. Primarily we always have the fans and club at heart, that’s why we do this.

Swansea City : The glaringly obvious and Matos agrees
Vitor Matos saw a determined Swansea side for the first half an hour of last nights defeat against Derby County. The Rams made it their third win away from home for the first time in five years. Thereafter we saw a tepid display of poor control and a lack of endeavour which is creeping into the Swans play in recent games.
