Not a huge fan, wouldn't have offered him a new deal to be honest. Says Hill is getting the best out of him which is worrying because he just doesn't offer enough goals for me. His hold up play and link-up play is good but I suspect he's on a decent enough wage and that we could do a lot better. |  |

To be fair, he pops up with the odd important goal (winner on Sat, goals v Bradford, Port Value and Coventry (I think)) and is a good weapon if deployed correctly - something different. Also seems to be scoring moree regularly than he ever has in his career so I think it's fair of him to say KH gets the best out of him!
Hopefully he can push on next season and have more consistent impact. |  | | |

Did people ever criticise COG in League 1 for a lack of goals? Andrew consistently influences the game from the bench as much as any player I can remember. For the role he has in the squad I think he's almost perfect. |  | | |

It was always the same knock on Emile Heskey as well, that "he doesn't score enough goals". Yet Heskey had a long and successful career with top managers willing to pay big money for him because he did the donkey work, held the ball up, put himself about and troubled defenders, freed up space for his teammates. Michael Owen said he was easily the best strike partner he played alongside. As long as Calvin fully plays his part in the team, somebody is scoring goals and Dale win, I couldn't care less what his personal tally is. |  | | |
