This makes pretty poor reading for the much travelled Swans away support. We have the greatest distances to travel & historically we have always had decent away support. My thoughts have always been that we usually take away far more supporters than we get visiting us so this really is a surprise …

Would have taken far more to Leeds on a Saturday and for that matter to Stoke.

It's annoying when you see things like for example Oh look Sunderland took x amount of fans to Leeds
Sunderland to Leeds is 94 miles
Swansea to Bristol is 80 miles
We take 2,000 - 3,000 across the bridge every time.
Millwall away support is also poor a fella I work with is a big Millwall fan and said they don't take many away anymore because all the home fans come out of the woodwork for them and it's just too much of a ball ache |  |

Yep and going north was even worse. It never felt that we had really started making headway until we got to Strensham Services - 125 miles. | | | |

As someone who generally has no interest whatsoever in going to away games our support on the road has always seemed quite impressive to me. Going to away games isn't cheap and Swansea isn't a wealthy area.
We seem to have punched significantly above our weight in recent seasons, and if that's wavering a little given how disappointing we've been over the last few years and the general financial situation then that's entirely understandable. |  |
